About Me

Hey there! I’m Preeti, the girl behind this blog.                   Nice to see you here on my blog!                                        Born and raised in India, I’m currently living in the Philippines. I love traveling solo, with my partner, friends, family and my fur baby! I am a Japanese bilingual by profession and a traveler by passion.

Growing up, I was surrounded by stories and visuals of far-off places. Watching travel shows on Discovery and Travel and living, flipping through the pages of travel magazines Mom subscribed to and listening to stories of Dad from his time in Russia as a student fuelled my imagination and desire to see the world.

I’m a planner when it comes to travel. I love researching and planning my trips in advance. During my travels, I love exploring small towns and bustling cities, enjoying a drink and a bite at a quaint café while chatting with the locals, marveling at the gorgeous landscapes and architecture, immersing in the nature and culture of the place, shopping from local markets and doing an adventure sport once in a while!

Some of my most exhilarating experiences include bungee jumping in India, trekking in Himalayas, scuba diving and hiking volcanoes in the Philippines, solo traveling in Bali and Japan, road trip across states in Australia and exploring cities and towns of Turkey. Each adventure has deepened my love for travel and makes me think where am I going next!

Three of my most memorable trips as a teenager laid the foundation for my love of travel:                         -21-day backpacking trip through North India: This journey through Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, Agra, and Rajasthan was such a well-planned trip by my parents and was an unforgettable experience.   -10-day dance tour through South India: As a trained Bharatnatyam dancer, this tour through ancient temples across Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry was a beautiful blend of travel and love for dance.                                 -Participating in a student exchange program to Japan was a transformative experience and my first taste of international travel.                                                                                                                            As much as I enjoy traveling, I also cherish my time at home and love my job. For me, life is all about doing what makes you happy, and I’ve found a balance that works for me.

I’m excited to share my travel stories and recommendations with you all. I believe in documenting my travels to preserve memories so that they don’t fade away someday. Hence this blog!!                                       This blog is for anyone who wants to travel and explore the world while balancing their jobs and family responsibilities. I hope it inspires you to embark on your own adventures and make the most of your journeys because there’s so much more to see, learn and experience in this world!
